Hôm qua, Bộ Quốc pḥng Trung Quốc và các lực lượng vũ trang nước này tuyên bố họ có “sự tự tin và năng lực” và ḷng quyết tâm không ǵ có thể lay chuyển để bảo vệ quần đảo Điếu Ngư (Senkaku).



Trung Quốc thề sẽ giành được quần đảo Điếu Ngư (Nhật Bản gọi là Senkaku).


Theo ChinaDaily, trong một cuộc họp báo hàng tháng, người phát ngôn Bộ Quốc pḥng Trung Quốc Cảnh Nhạn Sinh phát biểu rằng quân đội nước này đang theo dơi sát sao các động thái của Nhật Bản.

“Chúng tôi phản đối bất kỳ lời nói hay hành động nào làm leo thang hay phức tạp hóa t́nh h́nh”, ông Cảnh phát biểu.

B́nh luận về cuộc tập trận chung vừa qua giữa Mỹ và Nhật ở phía tây Thái B́nh Dương mà dư luận cho là “nhắm đến Trung Quốc”, ông Cảnh tuyên bố Bắc Kinh phản đối bất kỳ hành động nào làm gia tăng căng thẳng trong khu vực.

Trong chuyến thăm vừa qua đến Mỹ, Phó tổng Tham mưu trưởng Quân giải phóng nhân dân Trung Quốc Thái Anh Đĩnh cũng tái khẳng định tuyên bố chủ quyền của Trung Quốc về quần đảo Điếu Ngư.

Trong cuộc họp báo hôm thứ Tư, phát ngôn viên Bộ Ngoại giao Mỹ Victoria Nuland nhận được câu hỏi liệu Mỹ có hỗ trợ Nhật trong tuyên bố chủ quyền về quần đảo Điếu Ngư mà Trung Quốc cũng đang tuyên bố chủ quyền hay không.

Đáp lại, bà Nuland tuyên bố Hoa Kỳ không đứng về phe nào trong các cuộc tranh chấp về chủ quyền, tuy nhiên bà tái khẳng định rằng Mỹ nh́n nhận quần đảo này “nằm trong phạm vi” của Điều khoản số 5, Hiệp ước hợp tác song phương Mỹ - Nhật năm 1960, một hiệp ước quốc pḥng theo đó Mỹ cần phải hỗ trợ Nhật Bản bảo vệ chủ quyền lănh thổ của ḿnh.
