Vietbf.com - Trong nhiều cuộc họp, TT Trump liên tục đặt câu hỏi tại sao Mỹ phải bỏ tiền để duy tŕ một quân số lớn như vậy ở Hàn Quốc, khiến ông James Mattis, Bộ trưởng Quốc pḥng giải thích rằng, “chúng ta làm như vậy để tránh xảy ra Chiến tranh Thế giới lần thứ ba,” chính điều này đă khiến Mattis nói với những người thân tín của ông sau đó rằng ông Trump ‘có hiểu biết của học sinh lớp năm hay lớp sáu’.

Theo cuốn sách mới xuất bản Nỗi sợ của nhà báo kỳ cựu Bob Woodward, trong một cuộc họp của Hội đồng An ninh quốc gia Mỹ (NSC), tướng 4 sao Mattis căng thẳng với các cộng sự, sau khi ông Trump hỏi chiến lược quân sự Mỹ ở bán đảo Triều Tiên.

Nhà báo Woodward từng góp phần khui ra vụ bê bối nghe lén Watergate buộc Tổng thống Richard Nixon v́ muốn tránh bị luận tội đă phải từ chức năm 1973. Ông Woodward đang hỗ trợ biên tập ở báo Washington Post, nên tờ này sớm có một bản Nỗi sợ.

Cuốn sách này sẽ được in vào tuần sau, là một trong những ấn phẩm mới nhất muốn mô tả Nhà Trắng thời ông Trump rất hỗn loạn, nơi mà các trợ lư cấp cao của Tổng thống Mỹ lại nói xấu sau lưng ông Trump, và việc ông thiếu tính hiếu kỳ, không hiểu biết ǵ việc lănh đạo đất nước cũng như chính sách đối ngoại, đă trở nên một sự lo ngại cho nhóm NSC.

Tờ báo trích một đoạn ông Woodward viết trong Nỗi sợ:

“Tại cuộc họp của NSC hôm 19.1, Trump không quan tâm ư nghĩa của sự hiện diện quân sự Mỹ đông đảo ở bán đảo Triều Tiên, gồm một chiến dịch t́nh báo đặc biệt cho phép Mỹ từ Alaska phát hiện CHDCND Triều Tiên phóng tên lửa trong ṿng 7 giây, thay v́ 15 phút. Trump chỉ hỏi tại sao chính phủ chi quá nhiều tiền vào khu vực này”.

Theo cuốn sách, Bộ trưởng Mattis giải thích với ông Trump: “Chúng ta làm thế nhằm đề pḥng thế chiến 3”.

Khi Tổng thống Mỹ rời khỏi pḥng họp, ông Mattis tỏ ra lo ngại, mệt mỏi. Có tin ông nói với các trợ lư thân cận rằng ông Trump hành xử và có “tŕnh độ hiểu biết cỡ lớp 5, hoặc lớp 6”.

Tướng Mattis phủ nhận rằng không hề nói các câu trên, trong một tuyên bố: “Những câu có ư khinh thường Tổng thống đă bị gán cho tôi trong sách của Woodward, không bao giờ do tôi nói ra hoặc trong sự hiện diện của tôi. Dù tôi thích đọc sách hư cấu, nhưng đấy là một kiểu văn học ở Washington, và nguồn tin ẩn danh của nhà báo không đáng tin cậy”.

Cuốn Nỗi sợ c̣n viết Chánh văn pḥng Nhà Trắng John Kelly cũng tŕnh bày các suy nghĩ tiêu cực về ông Trump, gọi ông Trump là “một kẻ ngốc”.

Ông Kelly nói tại cuộc họp NSC: “Thật vô ích khi cố gắng thuyết phục ông ta về bất kỳ điều ǵ đó. Ông ta đi sai lối và chúng ta đang trong một thành phố điên. Tôi thậm chí không biết tại sao chúng ta ở đây. Đây là công việc tồi tệ nhất mà tôi nhận”.

Trong một tuyên bố, thư kư báo chí Nhà Trắng Sarah Huckabee Sanders nói toàn bộ cuốn sách “không ǵ khác hơn là các câu chuyện hư cấu, của nhiều cựu nhân viên bất măn kể để mô tả Tổng thống tệ hại”.

Ông Kelly cũng bác bỏ những tuyên bố được cho là của ông: “Ư tưởng nói tôi gọi Tổng thống là gă ngốc là không đúng”.

Cuốn sách c̣n kể chi tiết các cố vấn cấp cao của Tổng thống Trump phải cất các tài liệu khỏi bàn làm việc của ông, và xem ông chính là một mối đe dọa cho an ninh quốc gia.

Một đoạn trích mô tả cựu cố vấn kinh tế Gary Cohn “giật một lá thư khỏi bàn làm việc của Trump”, khi Tổng thống Mỹ chuẩn bị kư tên để chính thức rút Mỹ khỏi một thỏa thuận thương mại với Hàn Quốc. Sau này, ông Cohn nói ông “phải làm thế, để bảo vệ an ninh quốc gia và ông Trump không hề biết bức thư đă biến mất”.

Ông Cohn c̣n lập lại cú giật này khi ông Trump chuẩn bị rút Mỹ khỏi Thỏa thuận thương mại tự do Bắc Mỹ (NAFTA) như ông đă hứa khi tranh cử tổng thống Mỹ năm 2016. Lúc đó, ông Trump yêu cầu một trợ lư soạn thông báo rút Mỹ khỏi NAFTA, nhưng các cố vấn sợ làm thế sẽ kích hoạt một cuộc khủng hoảng quan hệ ngoại giao và kinh tế.

Ông Cohn nói với người trợ lư được giao việc: “Tôi có thể chặn chuyện này. Tôi sẽ chỉ cần rút tờ giấy khỏi bàn làm việc của Tổng thống”.
