Sắc lệnh mới của Tổng thống Donald Trump cho ByteDance có thêm thời gian để bán lại mảng kinh doanh ở Mỹ cho một đối tác Mỹ.

Hôm qua thứ Sáu ngày 14/08, Tổng thống Donald Trump đã ký sắc lệnh hành pháp mới buộc ByteDance, các công ty con, chi nhánh và các cổ đông TQ của công ty này phải rút khỏi Hoa Kỳ trong vòng 90 ngày.

Sắc lệnh mới cho rằng có "bằng chứng rất đáng tin cậy" về việc ByteDance mua lại mạng xã hội Musical.ly hồi năm 2017 là "mối đe dọa nghiêm trọng đến an ninh quốc gia của Hoa Kỳ". Musical.ly sau đó bị đóng cửa để sáp nhập vào TikTok Mỹ.



Trước đó, vào ngày 06/08, ông Trump đã ký sắc lệnh cấm TikTok ở Mỹ nếu ByteDance không tìm được người mua trong vòng 45 ngày.

Sắc lệnh mới sẽ cho ByteDance thêm thời gian để tìm người mua, nhưng phải là công dân hoặc công ty Mỹ. Nếu không, ByteDance sẽ phải tiêu hủy toàn bộ dữ liệu về người dùng TikTok ở Mỹ và sẽ bị Ủy ban Đầu tư nước ngoài của Mỹ (CFIUS) kiểm tra, giám sát toàn bộ quá trình này.

Sắc lệnh mới của ông Trump đến ngay sau khi báo chí Mỹ phanh phui ra rằng ứng dụng TikTok lách thuật toán của Android để thu thập địa chỉ MAC của người tiêu dùng Mỹ trong vòng ít nhất 15 tháng. Địa chỉ MAC được gán một lần duy nhất cho mỗi chiếc điện thoại và nó có thể dùng để theo dơi dấu vết người sử dụng, kể cả khi họ tắt mọi quyền truy vết trong điện thoại.

Sự việc này khiến cho các Thượng nghị sĩ Mỹ đă yêu cầu Ủy ban Thương mại Liên bang phải tiến hành một cuộc điều tra ngay lập tức nhắm vào TikTok.

Hiện mới chỉ có Microsoft được xác định là ứng viên có tiềm năng trong việc mua lại mảng kinh doanh của ByteDance ở Mỹ, Canada, Úc và New Zealand. Giá trị của thương vụ này theo ước tính của các chuyên gia, rơi vào khoảng từ 10 đến 30 tỷ USD.
