VN Vietnam Airlines lại sang Mỹ giải cứu vì nguyên nhân gì?

Nhằm cứu vãn tình trạng tài chính bị thiệt hại nghiêm trọng vì đại dịch Covid-19, hãng hàng không quốc gia Việt Nam, Vietnam Airlines, vừa thông qua kế hoạch mở lại đường bay thương mại từ Mỹ về Việt Nam để tận dụng lượng máy bay thân rộng đang dư thừa hiện nay, giữa lúc việc bán hay cho thuê đều không khả thi vì thị trường đóng băng.

Dẫn thông tin từ báo cáo gửi Hội đồng quản trị Vietnam Airlines của Tổng giám đốc Lê Hồng Hà, báo chí Việt Nam nói quyết định của hãng hàng không là “bất ngờ” giữa lúc Việt Nam đang trong bối cảnh khó khăn chống lại dịch bệnh Covid-19.

Vietnam Airlines nói rằng trong thời gian qua, hãng này đã thực hiện 12 chuyến bay hồi hương người Việt từ Mỹ về nước. Nhưng số lượng người Việt có nhu cầu về nước còn rất lớn và hãng đã khai thác hết số chuyến bay hồi hương được chính phủ Việt Nam cho phép, nên cần phải tiếp tục thực hiện các chuyến bay hồi hương theo hình thức xin phép bay thương mại thường lệ.

“Việc mở thêm đường bay Mỹ sẽ giúp Vietnam Airlines tăng thêm doanh thu, giảm thiểu thiệt hại tài chính khi dư thừa nguồn lực do ảnh hưởng của dịch bệnh Covid-19, đáp ứng được nhiệm vụ chính trị thiết lập cầu nối giao thương và tạo tiền đề cho sự phát triển khi thị trường phục hồi sau Covid là giải pháp xác đáng, thiết thực”.


Vietnam Airlines sẽ chia kế hoạch bay Mỹ làm 2 giai đoạn. Giai đoạn đầu, ngay sau khi hoàn tất cả thủ tục pháp lý xin phép bay thường lệ với nhà chức trách Mỹ cho đến khi phục vụ hết nhu cầu hồi hương người Việt, với tần suất bay dự kiến tăng từ 1 chuyến/tuần lên 3 chuyến/tuần tuỳ theo nhu cầu. Đây được xem là giai đoạn bay thử nghiệm và đánh giá thị trường, chuẩn bị cơ sở cho giai đoạn 2 là khai thác thương mại thường lệ giữa Việt Nam và Mỹ kể từ năm 2022.

Trong báo cáo tài chính vừa công bố vào tháng trước, VNA cho biết hãng này đã bị lỗ hơn 11.000 tỷ đồng trong năm 2020 do ảnh hưởng của đại dịch Covid-19.

Để hỗ trợ cho hãng hàng không quốc gia, vào tháng 11 năm ngoái, Quốc hội Việt Nam đã thông qua gói giải cứu 12.000 tỷ đồng giúp VNA tháo gỡ khó khăn. Hãng này cho biết sẽ tập trung khôi phục hoạt động sản xuất kinh doanh, tái cơ cấu tổng thể nhằm gia tăng thu nhập trong giai đoạn 2021-2025.

Vietnam Airlines will divide the US flight plan into 2 phases. In the first phase, right after completing all legal procedures to apply for a regular flight permit with the US authorities until the demand for repatriation of Vietnamese has been fully served, with the expected flight frequency to increase from 1 flight / week to 3 trips / week depending on needs. This is considered the test flight period and market evaluation, preparing the basis for phase 2 is a regular commercial operation between Vietnam and the US since 2022.

To support the national airline, in November last year, the National Assembly of Vietnam approved a rescue package of 12,000 billion VND to help VNA overcome difficulties.
