Chính quyền tổng thống Donald Trump đă đề nghị "một khoản tiền lớn" để có thể tiếp cận độc quyền với vaccine chữa trị virus Corona hiện đang được phát triển bởi một công ty Đức, Die Welt đưa tin.


Theo bài báo, tổng thống Trump đă cố gắng để sở hữu công ty CureVac có trụ sở tại Tübingen – đồng thời cũng có chi nhánh tại Frankfurt và Boston - để đưa toàn bộ đội ngũ nghiên cứu của công ty này sang Mỹ và phát triển vaccine "dành riêng cho quốc gia này."

Người phát ngôn của Bộ Y tế Đức, theo như trong bài báo, thừa nhận đă được thông báo về cách tiếp cận của Mỹ và nói rằng Berlin "rất quan tâm đến việc đảm bảo rằng vaccine và các hoạt chất chống lại virus Corona cũng sẽ được phát triển ở Đức và Châu Âu."

Vào chiều Chủ nhật, Bộ Y tế Đức trao đổi với Reuters rằng người phát ngôn của họ đă xác nhận rằng Washington đă cố gắng tiếp quản công ty dược phẩm sinh học nói trên. Các nguồn tin chính phủ chỉ ra rằng Berlin hiện đang cung cấp các ưu đăi tài chính dành cho CureVac để thuyết phục công ty này ở lại Đức.


Bộ trưởng Nội vụ Đức Horst Seehofer cho biết trong một cuộc họp báo vào Chủ nhật rằng ông đă nghe về các báo cáo của CureVac và nó sẽ được thảo luận tại một cuộc họp nhằm đối phó với diễn biến phức tạp của virus Corona vào thứ Hai này.

Richard Grenell, đại sứ Mỹ tại Đức, nói trên Twitter rằng báo cáo của Welt là "sai lệch".

Tuần trước, Giám đốc điều hành của CureVac, Daniel Menichella, nằm trong số các đại diện của những công ty dược phẩm được mời đến Nhà Trắng để thảo luận về việc phát triển vaccine pḥng chống virus Corona với Tổng thống Trump, Phó Chủ tịch Mike Pence và các thành viên của Lực lượng phản ứng nhanh Co-Vid 19 của tổng thống.

Trong một thông cáo báo chí, công ty này nói rằng Menichella đă trao đổi với các quan chức Mỹ về các loại vaccine mà công ty này đang phát triển và tiết lộ kỳ vọng về một loại vaccine hoàn thiện sẽ sẵn sàng để có thể được thử nghiệm vào đầu mùa hè.


Tin tức này đă thúc đẩy các phản ứng giận dữ từ các chính trị gia Đức, những người yêu cầu Berlin sử dụng mọi biện pháp có thể để ngăn chặn việc Mỹ kiểm soát độc quyền việc tiếp cận với vaccine chữa trị Corona virus.

"Những nhà cầm quyền Mỹ đă có một hành động cực kỳ không thân thiện", nghị sĩ đảng Dân chủ Xă hội Karl Lauterbach, người nói rằng các nhân viên y tế Đức ở tiền tuyến - cũng như mọi người trên thế giới - cần có quyền tiếp cận với những sản phẩm trí tuệ được phát triển ở Đức, và rằng không quốc gia nào có thể độc quyền một sản phẩm như vaccine chữa bệnh.

"Chủ nghĩa tư bản có những giới hạn của nó," ông nói.

Đức chịu bán hay không chứ không có ǵ để mà phải "giận dữ" cả.

Nếu không muốn bán th́ cũng cứ bán, bằng cách đưa ra một cái giá "té ngửa" là xong. Và rồi với một cái giá "ôm đầu máu" mà người ta vẫn chịu mua th́ bán chứ sao không.

Và Đức cũng đừng có lo lắng, ông Trump đ̣i mua là v́ muốn lên tiếng để cho một số người ở bên Mỹ được nghe, chứ ông cóc có care ǵ bên GERMANY hay MEDICINE cả.

CureVac's majority shareholder said Monday “it was not an option” for the company to develop the vaccine exclusively for the United States.
