Tờ Washington Post (WP) cho biết là đằng sau những cuộc biểu t́nh đ̣i dỡ bỏ lệnh cách ly chống COVID-19, có những nhóm ủng hộ súng tại Mỹ. Những nhóm này đă sử dụng Facebook để làm nơi tụ tập, thúc đẩy các hành động của họ, có những nhóm mới chỉ thành lập được vài ngày.


Điều tra WP cho biết trong những người tổ chức biểu t́nh chống cách ly gần đây có ba anh em nhà Dorr, vốn đă nổi tiếng như là những nhà vận động cho tự do sử dụng súng ở Mỹ. Trong những ngày gần đây, họ thành lập thêm các nhóm trên Facebook như là: Wisconsin chống cách ly, Pennsylvania chống cách ly, New York chống cách ly,… Những nhóm này có khi qui tụ đến cả chục ngàn người.

Các nhóm này cũng được sự đồng thanh của một số người dẫn chương tŕnh của Đài Fox, nhóm Liên minh bảo thủ Michigan, Phụ nữ ủng hộ Trump, Quĩ tự do Michigan.

Nhóm Liên minh bảo thủ Michigan chính là nhóm tổ chức cuộc biểu t́nh trước ṭa nhà quốc hội của Michigan, chống lệnh cách ly. Họ đem theo súng và đ̣i bắt nhốt bà Thống đốc tiểu bang, Gretchen Whitmer.

Nhóm Quĩ tự do Michigan cũng là một nhóm vận động cho quyền sử dụng tự do súng ống, do chồng của bà DeVos, đương kim Bộ trưởng giáo dục, đứng đầu.

Người phát ngôn của công ty Facebook cho hay là những nhóm này được cho phép tụ tập bằng diễn đàn Facebook, nếu họ không nói ǵ sai với luật pháp của những địa phương họ nhắm tới.

Một số hoạt động trên Facebook nhắm tới California, New Jersey đă bị Facebook gỡ bỏ. Tuy nhiên cũng có những chỉ trích nói Facebook không làm đúng cam kết của họ từ khi dịch bệnh bùng nổ, là nỗ lực chống lại tin vịt, h́nh ảnh cắt ghép không có thực,… liên quan đến đại dịch COVID-19.

Các nhóm ủng hộ súng tại Mỹ vốn là những ủng hộ viên rất nhiệt thành của Tổng thống Trump. Người ta thấy những hoạt động của họ đặc biệt mạnh lên sau khi ông Trump tuyên bố ủng hộ những cuộc biểu t́nh ở Michigan, Minnesota, Virginia, kêu gọi… giải phóng.

Ngoài ra họ c̣n chống luôn cả Hiệp hội súng trường Mỹ, bị họ nói rằng đă nhượng bộ nhiều trong việc kiểm soát súng ống tại Mỹ. Một số cũng nhân cơ hội này để kiếm tiền, v́ khi tham gia một số nhóm chống cách ly trên Facebook, người tham gia được yêu cầu đóng số tiền từ 35 đến 1000 USD chi phí hội viên.

Tờ WP dẫn thông tin từ một cuộc thăm ḍ ư kiến cho thấy có đến 70% cử tri của Đảng Cộng ḥa ủng hộ lệnh cách ly, 90% cử tri Dân chủ ủng hộ cách ly. Đây là một vấn đề mà quan điểm đảng phái không cách nhau nhiều lắm (dù 20% cũng là cao) như đối với các vấn đề khác trong xă hội Mỹ hiện nay.

Thấy đi biểu t́nh sách súng ḿnh cứ tưởng đi ăn cướp ngân hàng và cửa hàng cho mau có ăn hơn là đi làm để kiếm cơm quá.
