Bộ phim đang ăn khách tại Việt Nam, Tháng Năm Rực Rỡ, được khởi chiếu từ ngày 9 tháng 3 năm 2018. Tới nay bộ tiếp tục nằm trong Top3 bộ phim thu hút nhiều khán giả mua vé nhất. Mặc dù vậy bộ phim đă khiến không ít khán giả bức xúc bởi phim có màn lừa dối lịch sử VNCH.


Bộ phim kể về 6 nữ học sinh cùng lớp tại Đà Lạt thời VNCH (trước năm 1975). Và sau chiến tranh, ngày 11 tháng 7 năm 1995, khi Bill Clinton kư "b́nh thường hóa quan hệ ngoại giao Việt Nam - Hoa Kỳ" những người bạn học bắt đầu đi t́m nhau.


Trong lúc đi t́m nhau, họ lại nhớ về mái trường xưa, một ngôi trường Đà Lạt và bối cảnh lịch sử dưới thời VNCH. Ngoài việc lên lớp, vui chơi, phá đám nhau, họ đều có một cuộc sống sung túc và hạnh phúc. Tuy nhiên, kỳ lạ là vào lúc "tan đàn xẻ nghé" lại có màn lịch sử không đúng sự thật. Đó là đoạn phim quân lực Việt Nam Cộng Ḥa đi trên phố Đà Lạt loan báo rằng tổng thống Nguyễn Văn Thiệu đă bỏ trốn ra nước ngoài.


Sự thực, vào đầu tháng 4 năm 1975, Bắc Việt đă tiến chiếm thành phố, và vào cuối tháng 4, chính xác là 25 tháng 4 năm 1975, tổng thống Nguyễn Văn Thiệu mới rời khỏi Việt Nam.


Thật là hài hước vào đêm ngày 25 tháng 4 năm 1975 khi ông Nguyễn Văn Thiệu rời Việt Nam, Quân Lực VNCH lại xuất hiện trên đường phố Đà Lạt (trong khi thành phố Đà Lạt đă bị Bắc Việt chiếm) và loan báo mọi người "tự cứu" lấy bản thân và rằng tổng thống đă trốn khỏi nước. Vậy có thể khẳng định đoạn phim trên là hoàn toàn bịa đặt và lừa dối lịch sử.

Theo lịch sử, ngày 31 tháng 3 năm 1975, quân đội miền Nam rút khỏi Đà Lạt và sáng 3 tháng 4 năm 1975, quân đội miền Bắc tiến vào thành phố. Ngày 25/4/1975 TT Thiệu rời VN.

Một cuốn phim khi đă được quay xong, có thể có từ vài ngàn người đến cả triệu người coi, có rất nhiều người coi và họ đă sống cùng với trải nghiệm qua thời gian này, bởi vậy người viết truyện phim nên viết cho đúng với lịch sử, nếu sợ lũ khỉ Trường Sơn VC khủng bố hay cấm không cho chiếu phim th́ tốt hơn đừng làm phim có lồng những sự kiện về lịch sử vào phim. Lịch sử vẫn là lịch sử, không thể bị lừa dối được bởi v́ có cả triệu triệu con mắt và miệng của những nhân chứng đang c̣n tồn tại đó nhe...

Nói về nghệ thuật trong điện ảnh th́ trong nghành điện ảnh Việt Nam từ sau 75 thường xem thường vai tṛ Thư Kư Trường Quay hay là dân ngu dốn ko có ai đảm nhiệm đủ vai tṛ này...C̣n về người tổng duyệt th́ ko làm hết những cái ǵ của người làm nhiệm vụ này...C̣n thêm nữa là tất cả những kịch bản đều phải được Bộ Văn Hoá kiểm duyệt trước khi cho làm phim nữa...Có thể nhiều đạo diễn trẻ chưa hiểu hết lịch sử hay là đạo diễn nổi tiếng th́ xem thường người xem nên bỏ qua chi tiết nhỏ quan trọng này...
