Chinese teenagers kill taxi driver, rob car in central Vietnam
Three Chinese teenagers have been arrested for allegedly murdering a taxi driver and stealing his car in central Vietnam. Luo Shi Jun, 16, Huang Jie Cheng, 18, and Gan Ying, 17, were apprehended by Quang Binh police and handed over to Quang Ngai Province authorities, where the murder took place.
The incident began when traffic police in Quang Binh, while patrolling along National Highway 1A in Quang Thuan Ward, noticed a suspicious five-seat taxi. The driver ignored the police's request to stop and sped away, leading to multiple collisions with motorbikes and a car.
The teenagers admitted to hiring the 47-year-old taxi driver on Saturday for a trip across various localities in Vietnam. By 7 p.m. that day, they had murdered the driver in Quang Ngai and disposed of his body before stealing his taxi. Their attempt to escape ended when they were captured by police following the collisions.
This incident highlights the serious nature of the crime and the swift response by Vietnamese authorities to apprehend the suspects. The teenagers are now being investigated for murder and robbery.
