Khi tŕnh diễn trước đông đảo sinh viên của một trường đại học, nữ ca sĩ Ciara đă diện đầm hở gần trọn đôi g̣ bồng đảo để hát Quốc ca Mỹ đă nổ ra tranh căi. Nhiều người cho rằng để hát quốc ca cần trang phục nghiêm túc. Trong khi các fan th́ lại cho rằng không cần thiết.


Ciara hát “The Star-Spangled Banner”


Ciara mặc đầm màu trắng, có phần cổ khoét sâu khoe khéo “ṿng một” lấp ló sau vải voan trắng. Cô đứng trên sân vận động trường đại học Phoenix và cất giọng hát Quốc ca Mỹ. Khi h́nh ảnh này lan rộng, một làn sóng chỉ trích xuất hiện tập trung vào đầm mà Ciara mặc. Bonnie Bernstein – Cựu phóng viên kênh thể thao nổi tiếng ESPN viết: “Ciara thân mến! Cô rất lộng lẫy nhưng đây là giải vô địch quốc gia. Bọn trẻ đang xem và v́ thế hăy che nó lại thận trọng”.

“Đầm không phù hợp, giọng hát cô ấy đủ hay rồi, tại sao lại mặc hở để làm ǵ?” – Jason Whitlock viết. “Cô mặc như thế ư? Cô nên t́m một góc và ngồi xuống” – một người khác viết.

Người hâm mộ Ciara lên tiếng bênh vực thần tượng: “Thật ngạc nhiên khi nhiều người muốn nghiêm trọng hóa mọi việc như thế, hăy xem trận đấu đi th́ hơn”, “Ciara làm tốt công việc của ḿnh. Tôi không biết cô ấy có thể hát hay đến thế... cô ấy thật đáng ngạc nhiên!”...

Ciara là ca sĩ, diễn viên, nhạc sĩ, vũ công, nhà sản xuất thu âm, người mẫu thời trang danh tiếng. Cô ra được 6 album pḥng thu, thực hiện nhiều chuyến lưu diễn và tham gia vô số phim: “ All You've Got ”, “ Mama, I Want to Sing! ”, “ That's My Boy ”...
