Default Ban nhạc Linkin Park yêu cầu Trump campaign to stop using band’s music

07/22/20

The band Linkin Park announced over the weekend that it has sent a cease-and-desist notice to President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign for the unauthorized use of its 2002 hit “In The End.”

In a statement posted on Twitter, the band said it "did not and does not endorse Trump, nor authorize his organization to use any of our music."

The band issued a cease-and-desist notice after Trump retweeted a campaign video Saturday that included “In The End,” CNN reported. The video had been uploaded to Twitter on Friday by White House social media director Dan Scavino, according to the news network.

The video has since been taken offline.

It's not the first time musicians have told the Trump campaign to refrain from using their music.

Neil Young wrote on social media that he was “NOT ok” with Trump using his music during an event July 4 at Mount Rushmore. Last month, The Rolling Stones threatened to take legal action against the Trump campaign if it continued to use the band’s music, according to The Associated Press.
