Liver cancer can be primary or secondary. In the US primary liver cancer is rare, it's mainly seen as a metastatic cancer. Though there is a good correlation w/ Hep B & C, this doesn't prove cause and effect relationship. Currently, researchers don't fully comprehend how Hep B or C viral DNA might lead to cancer. Recently approved drugs by the FDA to treat Hep B & C Infection has been promising w/ less side effects and quicker turn around.
