You should read, listen and try to get it in your tofu brains. The common core method is try to teach the kids at the younger age to think that way so that when they get older they will
be used to the SERIES and MATRIX functions (it will save the teachers lots of time to
reteach the students when they are first time introduced to the SERIES and MATRIX functions at the latter time)
It just happens that 5+5+5 = 3+3+3+3+3 in the case above, but the purpose of this is to guide the younger kids to the way of thinking, which they can be prepared for more advanced mathematical levels.
So again, you SHOULD use your brains more ofter, MORON!
